Stop the proposal to relocate the Interisland ferry from Picton to Clifford Bay
- sign nowPlease register your objection to any proposal to relocate the Interisland ferry terminal from Picton to Clifford Bay.
Besides the decimation of Picton businesses that any such move would cause, the ferry crossing would also be further in open water, creating a much rougher ride for passengers. At least at present, the open water part of the crossing is kept to a minimum.
From a tourists point of view, the trip through the Sounds is the icing on the cake of the entire trip. All this would be lost, should the terminal be moved.
Picton is a thriving town - thanks to the ferry terminal. Let it stay that way please!
